Haven’t been posting board game pictures as often as I’d like, but here’s a beauty. Played 4P blinged out Terraforming Mars, came in last, but had a blast.

Got in some 3P Viticulture the other night. I won the tiebreaker.

My 10 yo picked Steam Park off the shelf tonight when I asked him what he wanted to play before bed. Hadn’t played it since 2015. Had a lot of fun and he kicked my butt. Can’t wait to see what he picks next. 😀

I got roasted in a 4P game of Brass Birmingham last night. First play in almost a year and I was a bit rusty during the first half. Couldn’t catch up.

Played Nemesis, Founders of Gloomhaven, Carcassonne, and Cat Lady. Had to go all the way to Cat Lady before I picked up a win. 😎

Played Terraforming Mars tonight with: Preludes, Venus Next, Hellas, and Colonies. Tight game, 80-77-74. I got to be 76.

Finally played John Company 2Ed last night. It was really slow going for the first 2-3 turns. After that we kind of got the hang of it. I’d really like to play again, but not sure I’d get all three to play it again. Pics of this week’s games.

For the late night crew, forgot to post last night’s games. We played Takenoko, Santorini x2, and Raptor x2. Really wish I’d taken a picture of that one.

I tried out Apiary tonight and really liked the maturing bee mechanic. I don’t think I totally understood the game until just before the first time I took back my bees. I finished 2nd out of three, 2 points behind the winner.

Been a real busy week of gaming. Played Caverna last night and Lost Ruins of Arnak tonight.

That’s gross. Puerto Rico is an evergreen that’ll get played and will sell. Companies shouldn’t look at situations like that as an expense, but as an opportunity to support an artist. There are games that sell because of their art. This won’t be one of them.

Got in a couple new games tonight. Tried Equinox with 3 players. It was an interesting racing game. I’d play it again and definitely play a little differently. The other game was Here to Slay, also at 3 players. It wasn’t as good as Equinox and was longer than needed.

Tonight’s games: 3P Wingspan and 4P My Father’s Work. Wingspan was as good as ever. I enjoyed MFW, but it felt very long at 4+ hours.

Speaking of Lacerda, I’ve had John Company set up for the last three nights trying to learn it well enough to teach. It’s really interesting to see how the roles interact.

It’s a really good worker placement that’s constantly making you wish you had one more action. An evergreen in my group.
