My Dad was a Maurice, lost him earlier this year. He was a Landlord and when his regulars put it on the jukebox they’d all do the whistle at him, to be greeted with a hearty “piss off”. I managed to get it in to my eulogy and we all enjoyed one last whistle for him.

I’ve just seen @mattlorenzo.bsky.social fabulous film Stand Or Fall about the rise of Brighton. Shed a few tears. I’m not saying it was completely ruined by it but @paulhayward.bsky.social referring to the “A23 Derby” was very disappointing.
