I did appreciate that the tell-tale sign that these were foreign made was pronouncing Regina like Regina George.

(It's supposed to rhyme with vagina)

Silicon Valley has forgotten what normal people want Did the tech industry get high on its own supply?

"Perhaps they have been so siloed that they did not realize their 'discovery' was well -known elsewhere, or perhaps their self-conception is that they are the smartest, and if they don’t know something, no one knows it."

Comic: Types of Board Game. [Each panel has a person, a person with a ponytail, a person with shoulder-length hair, and a person with a white hat seated around a table with different board game and pieces on top. Canadian doctors obeying a U.S. executive order that doesn’t even apply to Canada is deeply offensive to both trans people and to Canadian legal sovereignty.

As Toronto traffic was making getting to our usual dog-parks impossible, I brought Chester to the churchyard instead.

There’s something very “Eastertide” about a creature, who looks very “lamb-like” prancing happily amongst gravestones.

O death, where is thy sting?
O grave, where is thy victory?

Yes the strait is open if you can transport a Fox a chicken and a bag of feed across. But there’s only room for one of them on your boat and you can’t leave the Fox alone with the chicken or the chicken alone with the feed.

From a communications approach, it's really bad about how bungled this roll-out has been.

Like, the banks here spent years and millions of $$ selling Canadians on chip-and-pin cards, because they didn't want consumers freaking out about the "new" technology.

I’m struggling to find an appropriate way to express my contempt for these kinds of ridiculous appeals to a highly subjective Arcadian vision of society as it was perceived to exist around the time that the person speaking was twelve years old and I really wish people would stop doing this

It is one of my favourite days of the year because it is my awesome wife @ethanquinsey.bsky.social's birthday.

10 years ago I slid into the A03 comments of this incredible person & it changed everything for us.

Yeah, 20 years ago, the Canadian government was annoyed at the number of second-gen Canadian citizens living in other countries such as Lebanon & asking for support, so they tried to get rid of second-gen citizenship. It was bad.

A large number of white Americans coming to Canada might be the end result, but the changes were not made specifically to allow for the American diaspora, because, outside draft dodgers, Canadian-Americans have not historically been super interested in claiming their citizenship rights.
