Every time I’m at this pho place they play a shopping-dance-beat female singer cover of “Cheri Cheri Lady,” an irresistibly catchy disco song by the German duo Modern Talking from my childhood. Shazam cannot identify the cover. The original was a big hit in northern Europe in 1985.
