enjoy episode 3 :)
it's especially a ride
have fun thermos hunting (pain) and if it's not remaster spotting amusing product placement.
love the games but yeah wake 1 is a bit of a weird one to get into
I am DEVASTATED that ive consistently fallen off Horizon around a third in every time, the setting is fucking fascinating. I enjoy the general combat but just something about how it plays pushes me away and I hate that it does because what little i know, one of the most fascinating sci-fi worlds..
this video circulated around launch and its all i know of the game and i will not deny that 300k worth of goods being scavenged by the npcs is mesmerizing
bsky.app/profile/weav... yep felt worth sharing the source on this insane little story and i love it
An interview between Nintendo (SN) & Toby Fox (T) on where the idea of Deltarune came from, the text is as follows SN: How long has the idea for DELTARUNE been kicking around in your head? T: In 2011, when I was away at school, I got very sick. I ended up having a terrible fever and couldn’t get any medicine for it, and while I was sleeping I had a vivid dream about the ending to a game. Since then… I felt like I had to make the game with that ending. I attempted to make that game in 2012 using character designs by an artist I really like called Kanotynes. However, I stopped making it even before I made a single room of the game. That game… I ended up repurposing a few of the songs from it for UNDERTALE. For example, “Heartache” was originally called “Joker Battle” and “Bonetrousle” was originally the main battle theme. Then I decided around when I did the Kickstarter to UNDERTALE (2013) that if I ever completed UNDERTALE, my next game would be a mix of UNDERTALE and that concept. I have to make what I saw in my dream. I don’t even know if it’s particularly good, but I have to do it…
I LOVE the origin of Deltarune and just had to grab the source of this claim because the story is VERY endearing to me
Of course the listed geller videos are likely not what you're looking for though
If i DID have to pick a go to analysis channel Noah Caldwell-Gervais is a recent discovery of mine that springs to mind, but imo Monty Zander's Alan Wake 2 critique is my favorite due to how it in itself is a cross-medium art project.
If I had to pick what i felt were particularly interesting I'd likely choose
Fear of ____ series
How Well Can You Realty Know a Game?
Nothing Ever Stops Existing
Control, Anatomy, and the Legacy of the Haunted House
imo its probably one of his weakest videos, when he's not tied to a specific game, is talking about the medium as a whole and his non gaming ones are imo of a higher standard.
what the fuck happened
first t time searching anything riverdale related its based off the...archie comics? then it...oh jesus christ
Jeez, there really were like 200 game announcements over the course of 72 hours.
And it seems that most of the games press (and half of the audience) are downright miserable about it.
That doesn't feel like a good sign.
oh i could totally see it happening, was kind of surprised seeing the reception to totk as someone who was fascinated by pretty much most of what it wanted to do,
as someone WAY out of the loop on the series im fascinated to poke at how MM aged, assuming its a case of mixed at launch that shifted to adoration?
wait people thought that????
The doohickey for music
One of the Disco Elysium successor studios has the opportunity to do the funniest thing of all time (make a game about a young witch trying to solve the disappearance of her neighbor’s cat in a small village in the Alps.)
game series the sunless ones are set in the world based off fallen london
I've enjoyed skies a lot but the entire franchise and setting is one of my favourite takes on cosmic horror
Oh totally, it's a sunless skies piece from the fallen London setting (encompassing fallen London, sunless sea and sunless skies) I'd say it's a setting worth looking into if you wanna explore a setting oozing with atmosphere (Fallen London is a long term browser game)
frantically scrawls in calendar
The "bluesky is an echo chamber" think pieces that keep popping up really tickle me because they show how certain people genuinely believe social media should be for debating and arguing and not talking about the things that make you happy and sharing art with the world.
People like them are gems
