There are people reading this right now who *still* believe Ana Mardoll was a nepo baby war criminal. I neither forget nor forgive the former friends of mine who gleefully abetted that KF op to destroy my friend's life because they... found him kinda annoying?

Yup!
Yes. The streamer usually shares both the game content and their own face/audio, while the viewers participate in a text chat the streamer can see as they play. So the streamer is talking out loud, the chat are communicating via text, but they're all in conversation together.
If you haven’t been following what’s going on in Nepal, it is UNBELIEVABLE. I don’t event know where to begin but between the time you had your morning coffee on Monday and lunch on Friday they just had a total Gen Z-led revolution resulting in the first female PM. Like seriously.
Having some weird thought collisions around Baudrillard's Simulacra and Simulation, the (reaction to the) Kirk shooting, and KPop Demon Hunters. Pyschochronography brain is stirring from its long slumber, dust flaking off and cobwebs breaking. Urge to essay... rising.
It is, and they don't care in the slightest for the same reason the federal government has never cared about what their presence does to DC: because the city's population is majority black.
I have a pot roast going, it smells INCREDIBLE, and I still have 2.5 hours of work to go. I may not survive.
Yeah, it's a tough one to navigate. People usually don't initiate it when they have multiple serious partners, only FWBs, playmates, etc, but even so there tend to be a lot of big feelings to work through.
(I've sorta fallen into that as one of my niches--previously monogamous couples that want support while they explore opening up, or previously poly couples that are going monogamous and want support with that process.)
Today's recurring theme with clients, openly queer + poly couples therapist edition: the time to open up a previously monogamous relationship is not when you both feel ready to see other people. It's when you both feel ready to see each other seeing other people.
people really want the current divisions in the D party to be left/center.
they aren't really though. the big division right now is currently fight/don't fight.
I do give a shit, because an ally is someone you use to win a specific fight, not someone you trust or make friends with. If she's willing to fight the current fascists then we can coordinate doing so, and when she goes back to supporting her own brand of fascism later, we can fight her then.
So set some boundaries around your time. Use it for the things that matter--yourself, the people and causes you care about, your environment, so on. Don't waste it on the demands of others unless you are getting something that's worth it in return.
Your ability to preserve time from your employer might be limited, but even there you can set boundaries--and the others, you're completely free to! (And remember: boundaries are rules you set for yourself about how to respond to certain situations, NOT attempts to control others.)
Today's recurring theme w/clients was time boundaries. Your time is maybe the most precious thing you have, and everyone is trying to steal it--employers, advertisers, social media execs, people who want you to care about their pet issue and only their pet issue. But you don't have to let them!
Hell yes!
Oh yeah, I have social media accounts, don't I?
On this Trans Day of Visibility/Easter, let's remember that if Jesus is the son of God, then he had nowhere from which to get a Y chromosome, and therefore must have been intersex and/or trans.
AI feels like a real mania, a genuine collective break from reality among the ruling class. They might as well be pouring billions of dollars into an attempt to replace all jobs and knowledge with a large bronze idol of Dagon.
Yes! It's particularly ridiculous because some shows (SpyxFamily, for instance) not only don't have CC, but you can't even turn on the English subtitles if the audio is set to English!
Lieberman final words: “I wish I had stopped more good things from happening”
The kids are!
But just to be clear, the photo & headline combine to imply that religion as a whole is anti-queer & abusive... But the actual numbers in the article say 86% of people leaving religion are coming from ONE religion that 65% of Americans follow. 🤔
A series of tweets from Chanda Prescod-Weinstein (@IBJIYONGI). The first tweet reads: "I don't think advocating for prison abolition matches well with failing to unpack your inner desire for vengeance and retribution, which is a sentiment that forms the ideological root of a carceral system." The second tweet reads: "Transformative justice is key." It includes an image of trees and a link to a page titled "Transformative Justice: A Brief Description" from transformharm.org The third tweet reads: "Vengeance and protecting people from harm are two different things, and a lot of people have convincingly argued that vengeance doesn't protect people but rather plants the seeds for more harm."
Punishment is deeply engrained in our culture, but it is essentially useless: it does not effectively alter behavior and it does not solve any problems. This remains true whether you are punishing yourself, a loved one, a stranger, or an enemy. (Note: stopping harm & punishment are different things)
"Anime" is an illusory category created by the coincidence that American animation hit its worst point just as Japanese animation had a major surge in quality, right around 1980. But the truth is, there's no good reason to consider US and Japanese animation separate art forms or fandoms.
A tumblr post from haibane reading: paul in order to win the respect of the fremen and become the emperor you have to ride the biggest worm in the land. you have to change your name. drink this blue stuff for girls. have you been practicing the voice

Also there is a Puberty Island, and it's just a giant pile of tires, on fire.
You don't even want to know about Piloting Eva Island. Cello Island is actually not too bad, if a bit dull?
A photograph of side-by-side movie posters in a theater. The poster on the left is for The End of Evangelion; the poster on the right is for Inside Out 2.
Bucket list item achieved: saw End of Eva in a theater and flipped off that one guy. You know the one.
Also, I call this image "The Therapist's Double Feature"
Ye cats, I can only imagine what the TTRPG bar is going to be like, but I've backed myself into a corner where I HAVE to go there this afternoon.
This is a tomfoolery alert: even at brunch, the wacky green glasses and novelty t-shirts are out in force. If you wish to avoid St. Patrick’s day shenanigans, stay in your homes until the threat has passed.
I made an FB post in which I accidentally miswrote "y'all" as "y'aal" and one thing led to another and now I can't stop thinking about a demon named Y'allzebub.
