It has been a while since I have had time to post here. This was my medal winning entry to the Sydney Royal Easter Show this year. A handwoven tartan waistcoat. #weaving #tartan #craftiverse

Using the words F**k Trump to design an overshot pattern.
I am only experimenting with the pattern at the moment. Then I will have a ply with colour.

I have had a bit of a break from weaving over the last month of so. Instead, I have been doing some of the quilts that my MIL left undone when she passed away. This one has been made up for my son.

We have very few shootings in Australia. Guns require a Licence. All guns that are obtained legally must be registered. Like anywhere, our laws are not perfect and over recent years the access to guns in Australia has increased. The recent shooting will mean changes. Tightening restrictions is good.
We were asking our classes today how it was going. Most of them were still using all of their social media. Only one student said that he had been blocked on anything. So far, I suspect it won't make much of a difference.
That is stunning.

Make this go viral so every member of the House of Representatives sees it.
Placemats and wash cloths off the loom. #Weaving #FiberArts
I like it. I find it more user-friendly, and I have been able to find things more easily. I think it is just a matter of people getting used to it.
A tweet from Robert Reich states: “The richest man on earth owns X. The second richest man on earth is about to acquire TikTok and his family could soon own both Paramount and Warner Bros. The third richest man owns Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp. The fourth richest man owns The Washington Post. See the problem here?”

This is what democracy looks like. #NoKings
Yes, that was scary. 😆
Thank you. It also requires sewing skills. The weaving is pretty basic, a four-shaft twill using 2/28 wool. But I needed to make sure that my sewing skills could use the fabric appropriately.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
My handwoven fabric all finished and sewn into pants and a vest. #Weaving #FiberArts
Some Bronson Spot on the loom. #Weaving #FiberArts
Excellent.
Me too. I now have a 16-shaft table loom. I mostly got it specifically to play with some old reproduction weaving and with drafts from old weaving books.
Yes, they are. I love them. They are much lighter than wire heddles, and I find them much easier to thread. I don't use a threading hook with them; I can easily thread them without one. My previous loom had wire. I didn't realise how much lighter Texsolve was until I used it.
Weaving some fabric to turn into woollen pants for work.
Finally set up and ready to weave. This has taken me a lot longer than it should have. Hopefully, I can weave this and turn it into a pair of woollen pants. It is cold here at the moment, so I am looking to make some more work pants.
I love the way you have painted your looms. The weaving also looks fabulous.
Love those colours.
I love this. I am always fascinated with old weaving pattern books and trying to figure out the draft from them.
Gradually working on my 16-shaft Rosepath sampler.

That is stunning. I love the colours.
