Bloodbath at Marvel Comics today. Disney is axing over 1000 people. Unclear how many at Marvel. The number being talked about is 8% of the staff was cut, which is jawdropping.
CEO scumbag Josh D’Amaro-- salary this year of $45M-- ordered the layoffs. Disney had a gross profit of $35B last year.

Between Daredevil: Yellow, Static, Waid's FF and The Dark Knight Returns, I've been on a run of covering genuinely great comics lately.
I feel like I need to rectify that and cover something bad before I dive back into the good stuff.

Also, while I'm here talking about new comics, Batman #8 was great (loved the diner sequence between Bruce and Alan Scott!), and Mad about DC is annoyingly hilarious - I enjoyed it more than I expected to.
It definitely has that "back-to-basics" feel, which is probably overdue for Daredevil. It looks great, seems to have a good balance of humour and grit, and Matt as a self-conscious academic is something I never realised I needed until Phillips pitched it. Looking forward to more.
