The scariest thing about watching this is how much instantly I remember and recognise. Just think the volume of brain matter taken up with storing crap adverts just in case you ever see it again and can go "oh yeah, that one"

That’s a really good point. Someone posted about Ross Kemp’s Fruit ‘n’ Fibre advert a while back and it felt weird knowing all the words to the song..

Railways/ The Railway World Magazines in collected volumes.
I know some of my mutuals have a passion for railways, so, before we flog them, are any of you interested in any volumes of my dad's collection of railway magazines, as pictured, for a donation to charity?
He'd have wanted them to go someone who appreciated them as much as he did.

Press cutting Lancashire Telegraph, 20 April 2008: Shepherd's pie recipe rumpus. Subhead: Petrol bomb threat in tomato topping row. By ANDREW BELLARD A dispute over the contents of a shepherd's pie proved to be a recipe for brotherly disharmony. Blackburn magistrates heard that John Garvin thought that the pie his brother Michael made should have been topped with tomatoes but Michael disagreed. The upshot was that John, who was hit over the head with a shovel, reacted by threatening to petrol bomb his brother's flat. And he ended up spending a night in custody to allow tempers to cool. John Garvin, 47, of Montague Street, admitted a breach of the peace and was bound over in £100 to keep the peace for 12 months. Catherine Allan, prosecuting, said the brothers lived in separate flats next to each other. On the day of the culinary dispute they had been drinking together since 7am. "The argument started because there were no tomatoes on the shepherds pie that Michael made for tea and John thought this was wrong," said Miss Allan. John called his brother an offensive name and then said he was going to petrol bomb his flat. "Michael was concerned by this threat because on a previous occasion John had started a fire in his own flat," said Miss Allan. Liz Parker, defending, said her client did not accept making a remark about petrol bombing his brother's flat. "He does say that his brother hit him over the head with a shovel and it is very clear there was a lot of trouble over nothing," she added. (The article has a pullout quote which says “It is very clear there was a lot of trouble over nothing” - LIZ PARKER in large letters) District Judge Peter Ward, who imposed the bind over, asked in court: "You can make shepherd's pie without tomatoes can't you?" But 'legal' opinion at Blackburn magistrates, where the issue became quite a talking point, was divided. A female defence solicitor said it should be made with lamb and topped with sliced tomatoes and that a pie made with b…

Venissa vineyard, Mazzorbo, Venice
The Venissa Esate is located on the island of Mazzorbo, which, together with Torcello and Burano, forms what is known as "Native Venice." In this archipelago of natural beauty, colors, flavors and art lies the "walled vinoyard of Venissa," where the Bisol family of Prosecco fame revived the centuries-old Dorona di Venezia variety. Venissa is not just a vineyard: it also boasts a Michelin-starred restaurant, a more casual Osteria Contemporanea, and a Wine Resort, making it the ideal location for a lagoon getaway dedicated to relaxation and great food. Venissa is the perfect example of a "walled vineyard": in fact, the entire estate, with a cultivated area of over two hectares, is entirely encircled by medieval walls restored in 1727 as indicated by the marble markers set into the two sidewalls of the estate. Making this peaceful, serene place even more charming is the towering fourteenth-century bell tower of the church of San Michele Arcangelo, which was constructed in the 11th century. The Bisol family, who firmly and passionately believed in their project, have recovered the ancient walled vineyard, where they have planted Dorona, a white-skinned native Venetian grape variety, from which they produce a truly exceptional wine. Next to the vineyard lies the Ristorante, which was awarded a Michelin star in 2012, as well as the Osteria Contemporanea, which offers traditional cuisine inspired by the recipes of the signore of the island and based on fresh local fish and the vegetables from the estate's garden, which are tended to each day by nine local pensioners from Burano.
Relatively recently, a few wineries have started making wine from Dorona grapes - Venissa on Mazzorbo, Biniola on Vignole and the Vio's themselves with their Il Vino dei Dogi ilvinodeidogidorona.it/home/ 3/4
The Dorona grape is a local Venetian variety, thought lost following the 1966 Venice flood. A few vines survived and were cultivated over the decades by Gastone Vio with his wife Dariella Finotello on the island of Sant'Erasmo. More here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=w9vH... 2/4

Matt Goodwin posting on twitter having a go at Waterstones saying… “Hey @Waterstones. Where's Suicide of a Nation? Weird how the No.1 paperback in Britain never happens to be on display…” Not realising he’s standing in front of hardback books.
As an author who also happens to have a book in @waterstones.bsky.social, I at least know the difference between paperback and hardback books, which he’s standing in front of…
