He took some flights when he was Senate minority leader, which he hasn't been since June 2023.

I will definitely try to attend the hearing. Pretty sure it hasn't been scheduled yet--will happen sometime after May 15.
He filed it on June 30, 2025 to get in just ahead of the state's anti-SLAPP law.
But I do agree it will be dismissed anyway.
Trump will probably appeal to the Iowa Supreme Court so this could go on for a long time.
Discovery is on hold. The defendants are going to submit their motions to dismiss the case. Attorneys for Trump/Zaun/Miller-Meeks will file their response to those, defendants will file reply, and the judge will hold hearing and rule on the motions to dismiss before there is any discovery.
When he was running for state auditor in 2018 he said there was a judge who used to call him Doogie Howser whenever he was in his courtroom.

I need to make this more clear--the Turning Point USA event in Ames is going to be separate. Supposedly there will be another event with Nunn, presumably in IA-03.
I think I didn't make that clear--Vance is going to do an event with Nunn and a separate event in Ames with the ISU chapter of Turning Point USA.
I think there will be two events--one with Nunn in IA-03 and one on the ISU campus for Turning Point USA.
Longtime readers know I'm not prone to excessive optimism about Iowa elections.
But I do believe @sarahforiowa.bsky.social would win #IA03 if the election were held today. And if I were Zach Nunn, I wouldn't want to campaign with Trump or Vance.

When the Trump Administration announced moving student loans out of the Dept. of Education last year, I called Nunn’s local office and asked about it.
My call was the first they heard of the move and they had no idea it was happening.

What is striking to me about these is that the Justices candidly admit they are imposing their will without understanding the merits of the case.
