A retroactive award for a performance that wasn’t even nominated. First one up has to go to Candy as Del Griffith in Planes, Trains and Automobiles. He deserved to be rewarded on the highest level for that role. It was a perfect balance of humor, sadness, and heart.
A truly wonderful man who dealt with, at times, crippling anxiety. Thank you to Meyers for pulling together Candy’s story.
