I added an attract mode for SwitchBoard Shuffle. Obviously I had to draw a robot operator just for that! Its play style is questionable but... it works surprisingly well! #playdate #pixelart

Changed the time for a line to disappear from 2s to 3s. Wasn't expecting such a huge impact on scoring: I just beat my personal best 10 fold (from 479,000 to 4,234,000)! Chaining is feeling really good now!

For Switchboard Shuffle, I'm using the #playdate synth for the music. It sounds great but my workflow is rough: compose in GarageBand, rewrite everything in Notion (a MIDI editor), experiment with synth settings in Lua to find the right tone, then port to C. Wonder how others handle this.

Thanks! I use a custom editor I wrote in Java called MapMaker. It's inspired by The Games Factory and combines a tilemap and a sprite editor.

The drawing part is definitely not Aseprite, but it gets the job done! It has some useful tools like color replacement, outline tool and dithering on export.
