Although this week I should have continued building the boss, I took a little detour and started learning a little bit about shaders.

So far I've built a little water node and some foliage that detects the player and moves.

Yeah it's still rough around the edges, and I wouldn't be surprised if a professional found it lacking in some areas, but it works for me, and being FOSS I'm not worried about an "evil corp" ruining and introducing some "amazing AI features".

I'm not really sure about the pixel art and the bullets look "cheap" to me, but I have to keep going if I want to finish someday.

A dawless rig consisting of Arturia Microfreak, Korg Volca Sample 2, Zoom MS-70CDR, and Zoom H4n recorder. Around it there are some candles and a blooming orchid plant.

This is what last night's jam looked like: Jamming on a fully portable, dawless setup that can run off batteries/power bank.

I was making some folk/ambient music as meditation and it worked wonders. Definitely doing this again.

Finally getting started with the dungeon's boss. The idea is that the robot will always try to keep a distance from the player and avoid its attacks. Having a little bit of trouble with corners and pathfinding

Hahaha yeah, I exported the gif using aseprite and I don't know how to slow down the animation time. It is charming in its own way

I'm finally working on the last part of the prototype, the boss fight. This is what I've got so far. Front and back facing frames look decent enough, but I'm having so much trouble with side frames. I'm so bad at pixel art.
