Much more than that needs to happen. Republicans in both houses of Congress need to seriously stand up and say, 'hold on now.' Stand up and stop the "shooting on 5th Ave" now. The president may be talking smack; recent history/actions show he's not.
There's reporting and journalism. I always understood journalism to encompass reportage, context, analysis – in other words, the ongoing bigger picture. News orgs' emphasis on just reportage are stunting understand of the true stakes involved.
