I use both aseprite and krita lately for pixel art. I like krita because I can use my tablet, and it feels more like drawing. It's easier to work with layers and sketching there for me. But if I'm on a tiny canvas I'll definitely use aseprite. And if I want to animate it, aseprite is by far the way.

I think it's looking amazing so far! I would love to see it finished! Love the way the hair moves, and the subtle desync between hand and head movement. Has some real reality to it.
