#EidMubarak  to everyone that celebrates. This year, a few weeks ago, my group and I fasted for a day in support of the Muslims members. It was a fantastic but really tough experience. We learnt a lot about Ramadan and at 6.02 pm we celebrated our efforts with a lovely dinner 🥘

World leaders at the London summit are seen smiling at each other and putting their arms around each other after the official group photo. Zelenskyy is smiling at Mark Rutte of NATO and Trudeau is seen putting his arm on the back of Donald Tusk. The photo carries a feeling of warmth and friendship.

Elicitor Specific Mechanisms of Defence Priming in Oak Seedlings Against Powdery Mildew We performed transcriptomics and metabolomics analyses of chemical-induced priming in oak seedlings against powdery mildew. Different priming elicitors have specific impacts on defence, with β-amino ...

🚨NEW PAPER ALERT! We demonstrate priming of defence in oak seedlings with different elicitors. BABA is the most effective, could we use this approach in tree nurseries to protect young oaks from powdery mildew? onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/... 🌳 @uktreescapes.bsky.social

Branch of beech tree, Fagus sylvatica, with nuts and green leaves.

Warmer summers are causing European beeches to produce seed more often, depleting the trees’ stored resources—an indirect effect of climate change that is threatening the sustainability of Europe’s most widespread forest tree. In PNAS: www.pnas.org/doi/10.1073/...

This image is a promotional and motivational message for the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, which is celebrated on February 11th. The phrase in Spanish, "Las mujeres ya no lloran, las mujeres calculan, investigan y descubren" (translated as "Women no longer cry; women calculate, investigate, and discover"), is a strong statement emphasizing the role of women in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) based on a liric from a Shakira's song.
