Note: This will be my last newsletter as I'll be starting a new job which you'll hear more about soon. It's been a pleasure bringing you these updates. Hope you've found them informative & helpful. Thanks for reading & Happy New Year!
I recently completed a community journalism course for The Land which involved publishing an article. I chose to write about the Cleveland running community with a focus on its run clubs given that there are so many yet no one has done a story on them to date. Enjoy. thelandcle.org/stories/a-jo...

Huge turnout for the 36th annual Canalway Riversweep despite the weather. 33 sites cleaned by nearly 1k volunteers. My team removed nearly 60 bags of trash on W. 65th b/w Clark & Storer where we recently planted 50 trees. Of course, always fun to catch up with everyone at the Flat Iron afterparty.
Another nice Detroit Shoreway & Cudell Better Streets Bike Fix-A-Thon event. Special thanks to Neighborhood Connections for the funding, Ohio City Bike Co-Op for the great work crew, Bike CLE for the lights & helmets, and Cudell Rec Center for the space.
The inaugural Ohio Active Transportation Conference was great. Lots of good sessions and City staff + mayor represented well. It sold out so hopefully this will become an annual event.
