Anyone got a spooky book rec? I'm in the mood for a good ghost story, it's been awhile. #reading #WritingCommunity
Sent 4 more queries out! Now to sit back and wait like:
Been working on a Edo-inspired fantasy, and I think this has to be the most research and pre-writing world building I've ever done. Damn it's a lot of work, but I really want to do this idea justice.

A question for anyone the algorithm decides to show this to:
Do you consider yourself lucky, unlucky, or neither/both? I genuinely believe I was blessed with bad luck at birth, so any game of chance I unfortunately go into expecting to lose ๐
Got some writing in for the first time in what feels like forever! It's nice to not have to reread and re-edit the same book over and over again for once ๐

Here's hoping from better news from the remaining 19!
Officially sent out my first batch of queries for my cozy fantasy ๐ฑ Been working on this book for 5 years, so feeling the pressure ๐
I liked it! It was a little different. I was mainly trying it out for its "bookclubs" you can join and read along/discuss with. I remember liking the UI & aesthetic of the app, so could be worth checking out.
I believe you can. Not for private use, I don't think, but you can add books to the database they don't have listed I believe.
I also used Fable for a bit, and I've heard good things about Bookmory.
That's a really helpful example, thank you! The why is definitely the important part!
I struggle with this too ๐ฉ usually, I end up either putting on a cozy murder and crocheting, or putting in headphones and dancing if I'm alone ๐
Just got all my beta read feedback back! Just trying to figure out the best way to go over it and decide what to do next. Basically, I think I know the problem area, just not perfectly sure how to fix it yet...
Beta feedback can be difficult to parse through sometimes, especially when it feels like every reader had a different takeaway ๐
Any tips on comparing all the feedback and deciding how to use it?
#WritingCommunity What is something that is just necessary for you during a writing session?
#writingcommunity What are your favorite tropes to read? And are they the same ones you write?
Chapter 1 line edits done! A great start! ๐๐
Writers are, notoriously, also readers. What are you reading?
Today is being difficult. I need a cat.

This setup alone almost got me to buy ๐โโฌ
Only 100 days left in 2025! Any goals for the final stretch of the year?
If you could only read one genre for the rest of your life, what would it be?
You know, it's interesting how one first draft can end up mostly whole and continuous but require a ton of rewriting, while another can have a million incomplete chapters but need almost no rearranging or rewriting.
Every project really is different.
Planned out all my structural edits for my Rumpelstiltskin retelling! Ready to flesh out the MANY missing sections ๐
What's a genre you'd like to try writing in but haven't yet?
For me, it's mystery.
Gonna have to go over my cover letter again soon. My least favorite part is the personalization. I'm just really bad at making it sound sincere even when it really is ๐
Have you written a cover letter for agents? What's the easiest/hardest part?
Tonkotsu ramen! It was so good ๐ญโค๏ธ
It feels so crazy to actually be getting close to done with this book! I want to celebrate the accomplishment a bit but never really know how.
How do you like to celebrate your writing wins, both big and small?
I've recently been working out my editing process. It's probably going to be a bit different for each book, but I think I'm finally getting a feel for when and why that's the case.
Do you have a certain editing process, or does it change with each project as well?
Ahhh cafe writing time, how I've missed you! โโ๏ธ
Where do you get your best writing done?
