What’s your Love and Rockets collection look like?

I’ve found the best palate cleanser each night before bed to make the horrible world go away and get a good night’s sleep: A single issue of Don Rosa’s Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck. It took me YEARS to track all these down but it was worth it! This art is awesome

I really like UK comics but have this weird aversion to collected editions and it’s almost impossible to find single issues out here in CA. I’m in a self imposed hell. How does this book compare to the Alan Moore Captain Britain stuff? Weirder?

I love that Manhunter series. I’ve cobbled together full runs from the dollar bins and then gifted them to friends to spread the gospel.

A lot of family stuff going on past couple years so I haven’t collected much but, I started 2026 off with a real collector show last weekend. Picked up 6 books but one was this bad boy. It’s been around the top of my list for about 10 years now and I finally pulled the trigger.

Uncanny X-Men

Lobdell is probably the most underrated comic writer OAT in my opinion. He had a GREAT run on maybe the greatest comic series ever, and no one ever talks about him. Like ever. I can’t believe I see it here. It makes me happy to see him get some props

I never really considered Alpha Flight an X book personally. They just always were off kinda doing their own separate thing.

I’m on an 80s Indy kick so it’s time to finally read Elementals. The Justice Machine annual was a nice start and a good introduction. I’m three issues in and digging it. The villains are kinda lame but all the Elementals are interesting and Bill Willingham’s pencils are legit. Like Temu McFarlane

Finished the new Brubaker and Phillips Criminal book and instantly remembered how great this series is. Going back and starting a reread of it all to get ready for the Amazon Series. I reeeeeally hope it’s good or I am gonna be bummed

Go see it if you want to see it so bad you are afraid of spoilers or just stay off social media until you see it if it bothers you so much. But telling other people how long they can not talk about something is pretty egotistical

After 40 years of collecting comics I think I’m tapping out. The cost of things I still want is just too high for me. I still read new stuff on the apps but I might be just done with shops and cons. Luckily I’ve found a new passion in retro toys and NES so I still have a way to scratch that itch.

I think this last week was a deal killer for me. I think I’m gonna just buy X-Men, Amazing, and Thor. Only because I have complete or near complete runs of those. Everything else I’m going to read on Unlimited
