Its a show about powerscaling sure, but a character is still a character and not just a stack of TNT or Machs. This is present in both animation and analysis portion.

I've talked a lot about what makes Death Battle different from the average powerscaling subset of the internet, and another reason came to me recently.

Actual answer:
while *deeply* flawed and I do not blame anyone for bouncing off of them, the Danganronpa games have some very enjoyable writing and characters if you can push past those flaws. The mysteries are (generally) pretty engaging and overall I really enjoy the main 3 games.
