Anyone up for a Folk Funk Friday? Here's a great cassette I bought from 'Jazzman' Gerald's stall in Camden Market around 30 years ago. It's recreated here

Thanks, Matt. Just the 33 hrs 😆
I listen to Mulatu Astatke a lot already, so this looks great for more exploration.

Today marks 37 years since the BBC did the greatest ever ‘Meet The Teams’ for the 1988 FA Cup Final.

The graphics, the backdrop of the Wembley terraces, and the music from Top Gun makes this the most 80s thing you’ll see all day.

Absolutely glorious.

OK, this is wild.

In September 2023, geophysicists across the world started monitoring a very odd signal coming from the ground under them.

It was picked up in the Arctic. And Antarctica. It was detected everywhere, every 90 seconds, as regular as a metronome, for *nine days*.

What the HELL?

My brother has just sent me a photo of some barley, wheat, and maize, but it's very low-resolution.

I've asked him to send me an image that's less grainy.
