Side note, my dear chap, I saw you and your father on QI recently. How delightful. I saved it to show others what a lovely chap you are 🙂

Held her deep within
Unaware
She preferred the depths

For those who’ve asked, I often begin a portrait with a wash of acrylic. Once dry, I sand it down with a fine sandpaper, then begin to build the layers of Polychromos or pencil on top. It’s not conventional, but it works for me. This is a WiP, to give you an idea.

In art as in life.
I have never met a colour I did not like.

I am having a videocall with a BAFTA winning Oscar nominated person, to discuss a possible project. I’ve no idea what to expect, but mention it as it just goes to show that art can often take one into new areas. Even if luck plays a part, ultimately anything is possible.
This drawing is not them.
