To reflect this news, the game page has been updated with their removal from the team. It was surprisingly easier to manage since all I had to do was remove the image, copy the empty space between the other pictures, and paste that onto the uneven space.
Now the spaces look evened out as a bonus c:

Most people probably already know this, but VN development will be paused until we settle into moving. Anything being worked on now will still be worked on of course, but after that, I'll have everything on hold until after.

Unfortunate, but I started this project in 2021, and it's 2026. No more delays. Something needs to change.
It will be a while before they're removed from the game page since the image formatting was so painful to manage on Itch, and I don't have the energy rn XD
Like I said, I didn't want to have to do this. They're a good artist, and definitely could be more in the future. But I can't recommend them for any projects until something changes.
$600 mind you. $400 for the CG work given to them, $200 for their medical related reason (which they offered to pay me back in future vn artwork), and a kick in the balls.
So yeah, just a fair warning to not commission them for any VN related projects. At least until they change how they do things.
Since I've never been scammed before, I don't know what to do about this situation. It's already too late to file a dispute with cash app or paypal via their protection services since the deadline to dispute on paypal was back in December (which is also when they announced their holiday break).
I was given ZERO real updates for a YEAR, despite the constant reassurance from them, all while they asked for money and extra work for more in return. I gave them the chance to finish it before the end of this month, or refund me what I paid for. But as you can already tell, neither happened.
I didn't want to have to make this kind of post, but I do need to make some kind of announcement.
