Big congratulations 👏👏
And our new Lab Logo :) invented by our newest PhD student Rosalie :) 🤩
We had a lot of fun working together with Snorri and the Sigurdsson lab ✨! This work was lead by @rubindg.bsky.social and @stonebutcher.bsky.social. Thanks for the fantastic work everyone 👏👏😎

Happy for feedback, interest & discussions 🤓
Finally we have the storry finished :)

the pyramid scheme of publishing... : " But publishers have an economic incentive to accept even subpar papers authored by guest editors, the researchers write, because guest editors work for free and recruit other authors to contribute to special issues."

A bit of hardship is nothing for the right thing to do.
If we just could solve the Ukrainian occupation so by Russia so simply.
Thanks @curiousdina.bsky.social for your amazing talk! I learned a lot and just shocked my first year students with eukaryotes are probably coming from archea :) So cool so many different subjects covered! 🤩 Happy to have had you at @cml-uu.bsky.social
Our work presented today at the www.youtube.com/@CASPRNASIG online seminar! @bussigio.bsky.social will report on the #CASP16 solvation challenge and 2D ensemble reconstructions using #DMS data

When I learned about the cruelties of SS and Nazi's in school (I'm german) I always wondered, how this could happened... I never imagined seeing it happening again and getting the explanation in front of my eyes...
Sometimes we need a moment, but if you tune out completely, they win. Fascism doesn’t need your support, just your silence.
congrats :)
How much incremental research is published in high-impact factor journals, just because it is a long-term growing field...
is that how we think science is progressing????
so: How many great new areas/ideas have been suffocated by this selection. Because next step:
Funding agencies and career assessment looks at impact factors of publications (which before looked only at likelyhood to get high citation).
Do current publishing and carreer assessment practices limit scientific progress? Journals basically evaluate your recent citation numbers when you ausbmit to the editorial board...
HOWEVER: novel research areas have low number of participants and publications -> low number of citations
It’s out :)
you thought it was weird for DNA to be 1% in a Hoogsteen base pair instead of a Watson-Crick-Franklin one?
Well there is more:
Thanks :)
Thanks 😊
