A report from The Gender Equity Policy Institute is showing that in states with abortion bans,women are twice as likely to die compared to states where abortion access is protected.

Pregnant people living in states with abortion bans are almost twice as likely to die during pregnancy or shortly after giving birth, according to a new Gender Equity Policy Institute report.
The report found the risk is even higher for Black women in those states.
While maternal mortality *fell 21% in supportive states* after Roe v. Wade was overturned, rates skyrocketed in states with abortion bans.
