A comparison of the old and new Wario design.

Various concepts of Wario's new design.

An attempt at remodeling Wario's appearance for my little fan game project. Wanted to keep the design simple to make animation easier. Also got inspired by Super Tempo and similar games with cartoony pixel graphics, and wanted to mimic that style and process.

Super Wario Bros. Debut: WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$! This microgame's a classic! It plays like old-school Mario, except this one features Wario, which makes it objectively better. The player controls Wario, who is constantly jumping around. The goal is to make him land on all of the Goombas. You only have a few seconds to beat them all, so good thing you don't have to worry about timing your jump inputs whatsoever! You can summon this pixel Wario onto the battlefield, who hops on the opponent's side of the court and will bury anyone he stomps on into the ground! He also brings Goombas with him, who you'll also have to avoid. Saving up Coins can also allow you to give him a new All-Stars coat of paint! Double the bits means double the Goombas and double the hopping speed!

If you roll this item, Wario will come to your aid and start jumping around, trying to land on the opponents. With some Coins, you can also give him and his Goomba posse a 16-bit resprite, adding more Goombas and making him jump faster!
