The background is a mix of various stencils, stamps, and other designs collaged together into a washi tape style mix. The image itself is a bit lighter than its initial color scheme. But this is due to needing to use CMYK for printing purposes. Most printers do not like darker shades. Thus such subtle hues can only be viewed upon the computer. I may make a simplified render of this design for an enamel pin too. It just looks fun.

I'm hoping to turn this illustration of Sun Wukong into an art print for an upcoming table event. It was a lot of fun to make.

The ginger monkey sits upon a bed in a half lit room, blanket draped over his shoulders and that of his children. Upon his lap, the heavy leather binding of an old book rests, pages opened to one of its many passages. Upon its cover in gold script, reads the title of a journey to the west. He reads aloud, drawing the attention of the two youngsters to the story upon its pages. A tale as old as time, of a monkey, a monk, and his other companions on their journey to obtain holy scriptures.

I'm really enjoying getting to express my creative side with some random character ideas!
Started with a piece of spotted fabric that would only make part of a single plush. So it wasn't something I could make multiple with. Then decided, why don't I make a few?

Sample sketch of an upcoming adoptable monkey oc. Her design will be in full flat colors, with a front and back view. This lovely lady will have a snow leopard style pattern with white fur with brown, and tawny details.

Custom standing plush monkie. A prime example of a standard custom (one/two fur colors) with a complex outfit; multiple layers, 3+ colors, undershirt, robe, and decorative sash with embroidered accents. This plush stands approximately 15" tall.
