No Kings!!!
Cabin is closed for the winter.
I’m loving my science-themed skater dress made specifically with teachers in mind. Blood cells look like flowers from a distance. 🩸 They have so many cute patterns to choose from.
Today I’m signing the final title paperwork for my mom’s house. I’ve been crying a lot over it. Some of it is around memories and a lot of it is rooted in relief. Bitter-Sweet
Dog sitting my dog-nephew, Keno.
Anyone use Rosetta Stone? I currently use DuoLingo but work will pay for a RS account for me.
I’ve been suffering with ankle pain for months and walking with a limp. Going down stairs is excruciating. Last night something popped, in a good way, & most of the pain has subsided. Not sure what happened but am thankful. I messaged my Physical Therapist & told him. Maybe he’ll have some insight.
Happy Birthday, Mom.
HaHaHa!!! It is kinda a superpower.
Cabin time!!! Hello, Central Camp. ⛺️
Today was Be GLAD training. We got to practice the skills with each other after having a lesson modeled for us. Lunch was Jamaican food with jerk chicken & oxtails as well as plantains. Done with trainings so now I just need to do some packets for newcomers in preparation for the kids coming Monday.
Thank you to @lempimiller.bsky.social for the new toilet seat and vanity lights in my bathroom. I appreciate you! 💗
Today the learning was focused on best teaching practices. Breakfast was just a 🍩 but the lunch bowl was really good. Can’t wait to hear how day two went for Hazel. I spent the afternoon working on my recertification for the Initial ELPAC. Not done yet. I have all my mandated trainings to do too.
First day of 11th Grade for Hazel. Great Professional Development day for me. Wonderful food today too, breakfast & lunch. Overall not a bad Monday.
Got my dilation meds for day of cataract surgery on Halloween. 🎃 👻 #gettingexcited
Professional Development continues. Friday we talked about trust and safety. Heavy stuff. I appreciate the vulnerability. Breakfast was burritos and lunch was a chicken sandwich from Gregoire. Yummy! I also set up my room.
Day two Professional Development with a consultant. Good PD so far. Breakfast was Noah’s bagels 🥯 and lunch was sliders 🍔
Back at work today for Professional Development. The kids don’t come until a week from Monday. Got a nice breakfast and lunch too.
Well, went for an eye exam at the Ophthalmologist this morning and much like I suspected, I’ve got a cataract brewing in my “good” eye. It’s the kind that makes everything look fuzzy. I was born with a congenital cataract in my left eye and had surgery when I was 30-something.
In Maryland for the night. Headed to Washington, DC for the day. Lao food for dinner
Today we had breakfast at home, made by Ian, then a nap while he got some crap done, and for dinner, headed out to the water for more shrimp, scallops, and crab cakes followed by beer at Strangeways before heading home for an early night. DC tomorrow for an overnight.
Bonding with Ladybug 🐞
Flew into Richmond, VA a few days ago. Staying in Williamsburg but venturing to Virginia Beach, Charlottesville, and possibly an overnight in DC. #lastweekofsummerbreak
I’m on an adventure! Virginia or BUST!
Burn cal ories in anywhere
I’m doing Physical Therapy for my ankle, for my Plantar Fasciitis, and my PT said I’m making excellent progress but it’s time to step up the resistance so I need some exercise bands and these are the ones I chose. HaHaHa!!!
Despite our best efforts, our buyer pulled out. So, mom’s house is back on the market! www.realtor.com/realestatean...
It’s my 55th Birthday!!! Happy Birthday to Meeeeeee!
Yep
Heading to my mom’s tomorrow to start dealing with the contents of the house. Wish me luck. It’s going to be an emotional & anxiously exhausting day.
