Christmas came a little early this yearā¦feeling so very grateful.
I really believe Fridays are meant for good plans and even better company. And sometimes that simply means curling up with a good book.
December isnāt even over and January is already full. I suppose planning ahead is the surest way onto my nice list.
Proof that the fastest way to my heart is still a good book. He found an Edith Wharton I hadnāt read yetā¦Iām still swooning.
Gramercy Tavern never disappointsā¦and neither do I.
What a wonderful dinner party hosted by @carolinekellyxo.bsky.social last night!
I am happy to report that she was satisfied with my rendition of an outfit that would āscandalize people in a restaurant a little too much.ā
Proof that you can take me anywhere.
Thereās something about a lunch date that feels both effortless and intimate.
Last night in Miami, and he sent me to the spa before dinner. Dangerous idea, really.
Turns out I am a business trip essential
A brief stop before his meetings.
We only meant to browse.
And yet⦠he couldnāt resist, and I left glowing.
A slow morning in silk with youā¦something meant to be savored š¤
One of the many things I love about business trips with a suitor: he handles the meetings, and I handle the spa.
High tea with @carolinekellyxo.bsky.social featuring caviar, champagne, and more sweets than necessary. Youād think weād had enough dessertā¦but our date proved otherwise.
Question: are you guys here for historical facts, cheeky photos, or a combination?
Thinking about Louis XIV againā¦at Versailles, you could only sit if you had chair privileges. Everyone else stood, sometimes for hours.
Versailles: where your glutes were sculpted by hierarchy, not Pilates.
Thinking a lot about the Louvre heist and the multiple times I have lightly hinted at certain kinds of gifts that would impress meā¦wondering if any of my upcoming dates have a surprise for me š¤
Now back to your regularly programmed Versailles facts: Louis XIV forbade knocking on doors, it was too crude! Courtiers had to scratch instead, often growing one long nail to be heard. Centuries before another sort of powdered pastime made that look fashionable again.
What I brought home from Paris isnāt just Dior and AlaĆÆa. Itās laughter over late dinners, someone who still opens every door, and the fact that he brought me back two years in a row.
He said that the room was so me and ordered me to sit. Canāt say he was wrong, or that Iām upset about an assertive gentleman š
A perfect Sunday in Paris = a lazy morning in the hotel followed by leisurely strolls through the MusƩe Rodin.
Going back to Crazy Horse (somehow even better the second time) was a perfect way to end a perfect day. Not to mention the absolute thrill in watching @mikajayne.bsky.social see it for the first time!
Letās just say I stand by what I said last yearā¦this show is incredible foreplay š
Decadent day and a decadent dinner
Saturday was so incredible it deserves several posts! Starting with my wonderful date flying in @mikajayne.bsky.social
for a decadent day of shopping followed by an even more decadent evening, I love a man who is up for double trouble ā¤ļø
What a beautiful whirlwind, so much so that Iāve hardly looked at my phone š„°
What a perfect start to our trip with a magnificent dinner at Granite.
I swear the timing of my new obsession with the French Revolution (not to mention fashion week) was completely coincidental with this trip to Paris. Back at La Reserve and it could not be more dreamy!
Unlocked a new fixationā¦the French Revolution. All this time Iāve been buried in plague history, while Versailles gossip was right under my nose. Expect a steady stream of court facts!
Few things are sexier than a man who wants to retrace our steps abroadā¦international trip incoming.
Guess which dessert he pickedā¦
