Lots of nuance. Not much popcorn, although the press will want to highlight the attempted pressure applied. He takes accountability for taking a decision and the way it happened. I like the way he didn’t take the easy and theatrical route through this hearing.

I think he’s doing ok. Yes, we are deep in process hell but he’s holding accountability despite there being some theatrically easy ways out for him if he’d wanted to blame others.

I really feel for the person doing the live subtitles. They don’t know the word ‘agrément’ and are having to use the word ‘it’ as an alternative. The little pause each time it’s used is a signal of some significant stress in a cubicle in Wood Lane.

I’m sure it’s a great group. No hatred here. My point (badly made) was to take just the ‘friends of Israel’ bit literally and to (more seriously) point out that a friend of Israel would have to have a chat with their friend (the entire government / administration) about their behaviour.

Love the people. Not so fond of the current government. (I can’t help feeling that feeling shouldn’t be especially controversial at the moment.) Quickly realising that tongue in cheek posts probably don’t work very well for something as nuanced as this though.
