We’re showing off a table full of ‘zines from the FLUKE archive at Park Hall in the UGA campus as part of the English Department’s “Fanzine Frenzy” event. Come dig through part of our collection from noon-2:00pm
We have already communicated to exhibitors that if we figure out that they're exhibiting AI garbage at FLUKE, they'll be asked to leave (no refunds) but we're gonna have to start being real jerks about it.
We're hoping this garbage goes the way of NFTs and ceases to be a concern, but starting next year we're going to ask exhibitors to acknowledge that no AI was used to create ANY of their works.
A reminder because we're feeling particularly fed up with this sort of thing today:
Any work, whether visual or text-based, that is "created" by or with the partial assistance of AI or a "Large Language Model" (LLM) is NOT WELCOME at FLUKE.

Patrick Dean, Co-organizer of FLUKE, left this life in 2021 but we found some sketches for unused FLUKE art in the papers he left behind and we're probably gonna do something with it this year. Probably print it on some bags or something. He would have wanted it that way.
Said the FLUKE social media password out loud in a small house filled with lots of people today so there may be more posts here in the future. We’ll see what happens.
