March @bgstatsapp.bsky.social gaming saw a lot of games hit the table, helped by a few days at a small gathering on the South coast.
My favourite new game was Druids of Edora, a smooth, fast playing Feld design.

February’s @bgstatsapp.bsky.social My favourites: Recall, Fate of the Fellowship & Crystal Palace.
Disappointment of the Month goes to Monumental which despite 2 plays just has too many issues.

Some over vigorous flicking saw the cars taking flight across the room 🤪.
Wow, you’ve got the Loop. I saw it in Essen the year it was released and decided not to buy it - a decision I’ve come to regret.
This one😃
January’s @bgstatsapp.bsky.social plays include some great older games: Elfenland, Galaxy Trucker and the quirky Kablamo! A lot of enjoyable and fun games marked the start of 2026.

December on @bgstatsapp.bsky.social was dominated by the Exit Advent Calendar (which felt somewhat more difficult this year) and party style games over Christmas.

November on @bgstatsapp.bsky.social shows a lower number of plays due to holidays. It was great to get War of the Ring back to the table along with my first solo play of Recall - the latest game from the team that designed Revive (one of my favourites).

Monopoly gets a bad rep from modern boardgaming fans...
Is it fully deserved, though...? Mostly? Perhaps? Maybe? 😉
Some cracking games played in October @bgstatsapp.bsky.social
The Essen releases are trickling through:
Ink - fast abstract race to the finish with great components.
The Hobbit there and back again - a story based roll and write.

September gaming on @bgstatsapp.bsky.social was helped by a private gathering of gamers weekend in the wilds of Norfolk.
LotR Fate of the Fellowship topped the list in plays and enjoyment - what a cracking game from @wizkids.bsky.social
@tsmag.bsky.social
Just back from a small Boardgame get together with friends in the wilds of Norfolk. Great venue, fantastic games and a few beers 😏.
My highlights were: Fate of the Fellowship, Black Orchestra and Tekhenu along with the ever spooky Blood on the Clocktower.
August game plays on @bgstatsapp.bsky.social had a lot of lighter games. My favourites for the month were Obsession and Mombasa both of which deliver a fantastic gaming experience.

Happy reading.
July’s holiday played into my game plays @bgstatsapp.bsky.social
It was good to play some games designed for 2 players and Jaipur did not disappoint - it’s a great game.
Other games of note have been Das Motorsport Spiel and Airlines Europe - a couple of golden oldies!
However I consider reviews done by reviewers who charge to review a game (which includes most - if not all - video reviewers 🤔) highly biased/ dishonest as they need to continue a business relationship with their “sponsors”.
These “reviews” are pure advertisements and of no value to me as a gamer.
What I mean by the term “monetary payment” is that someone has made a specific payment for a specific review.
I do not consider general Patreon support or a single review copy of a game falls into this category, providing that the reviewer is totally honest and not biased in their review.
If a reviewer does an honest review of a game explaining why they enjoy the experience of playing that game, then that review itself could be considered an “advert” for that game as it may encourage others to seek the game out.
I think honesty goes out the window if any monetary payment was made.
June’s @bgstatsapp.bsky.social with the great story telling Arthurian Knights from @wizkids.bsky.social hitting the table. Jaipur and Agent Avenue are fun for 2 players.

My May gaming on @bgstatsapp.bsky.social
Great fun with Flip 7 which really comes alive with higher player counts 😆.
Story telling with Tales of the Arthurian Knights - a great experience!
Continuing space trips with Galactic Cruise.
A wide range of games makes a great month.

Last night The Arthurian Knights were creating Tales of their adventures across the realm.
Tremendous fun was to be had as they travelled across the lands in search of renown😆
Two cracking new games entered my collection in April @bgstatsapp.bsky.social - the outstanding Galactic Cruise from @drandagames.bsky.social and the fun Flip 7. What a great month of gaming.
