Norman Rockwell's "Freedom of Speech" painting, but the dude standing up is now Father Malone from "The Fog" (1980). The person to his right, looking up at him in concern, is now Kathy Williams. The person in the bottom right foreground, with their head turned away from us, but toward Malone, is Nick Castle, the rough-and-tumble guy with a taste for fine art and the occasional swig of saltwater. The wording underneath, as spoken by Father Malone, now reads "THE CELEBRATION TONIGHT IS A TRAVESTY. WE'RE HONOURING MURDERERS'. You got that right, Father.
An unnatural fog rolled into Antonio Bay, on this day in 1980.
Got a festival in Gateshead the weekend before, so a bit of a squeeze on finances ergo travel costs will dictate. Fingers crossed I'll be there.
A close up of the side of a packet of Rolo's with a picture of a Rolo with "Know your servings" above the Rolo and "5 Pieces = 1 Serving" underneath. Next time I'm entertaining a lady I shall serve a portion of Rolo's which will no doubt bring delight.
Do you love someone enough to give them 20% of a serving of Rolo's?
I'd drive about with a dashboard that would put Blackpool Illuminations to shame

As a child I always assumed that at some point when you became a grown up you understood everything and the world all made sense. It was my 52nd birthday earlier this week and I still don't have a bloody clue what it's all about.
Fingers crossed you'll soon be indulging in the finest of fishes.
That's a fine haul of yellow stickered delights.

A white snowy owl head against a black background, its eyes are open wide and its beak is open. Beneath in whole capital letters with a black outline it says "O RLY?"
That's a bargain for such a specialist publication.
Don't mock, it took an age to download those Chic Corea albums over dial-up.

That sounds like the premiss for an hilarious "oh no, I've joined the army by mistake!" sitcom.
Dad's Dubai Army perhaps.
An excert from Tim Worthington's excellent book The Golden Age of Children's TV, in which while discussing the Roy Castle hosted BBC series Record Breakers, references I'd made to the Norris on the Spot section, and specifically about being asked what was the identity and dimensions of the world's biggest leaf.
Sitting in bed reading The Golden Age of Children's TV by Tim Worthington and in the section about Record Breakers this appeared and I am very confused.
Was the leaf question a thing from Lee and Herring or something?
