We dont even know the results of the Ukrainian attack. Yes, they initially captured two villages but we do not know if Russia has thrown them out already as there has been some footage of Ukrainian POWs coming out and indications that the Russians are back in the area.
Also I would be cautious to attribute the initiative back to the Ukrainians in Kursk, this attack was roughly battalion sized, and the Russians launched an attack on the western side of the front sector at the same time and we dont know about the result of that one yet.
