I had fun finally setting this up

Still on the process of setting up my aquariums in the ne apartment.
Today, I finally set up the 30L tank. I‘ve had this piece of wood for years and have been waiting for a good moment to finally use it in a cube that fits it perfectly.

Another addition that happened kind of spontaneously was this absolutely stunning Apistogramma borrelli ‚Opal‘ that the breeder I got the corys from had as well. I‘m amazed by how quickly it can change its color!

The surprise I was promising you has arrived: I got myself a nice group of green stripe corydoras! I got them from a local breeder near me and I‘m so happy about these phenomenal fish! They‘re quite lively and a great addition to the 180L tank.

Als ersten Schritt würde ja überhaupt ein Tempolimit reichen. Meinetwegen auch 130. Wäre schon deutlich besser als jetzt und vielleicht noch verdaulicher für die ganzen Gewohnheitsraser 🤷‍♂️

I was going for the classic Aquascape look this time around

I mostly reused plants from the old setup as well as getting some new plants from an acquaintance at work.

First attempt of Aquascaping the tank from the last picture. In the back right corner, it features a retaining wall of Dragon Stone, which is a type of rock with many holes and crevasses. Behind that is a piece of driftwood with three prongs pointing from right to left.

In this picture, the tank is filled up with water. The substrate behind the retaining wall has been filled in and the front is covered by sand. The water is still very cloudy from the old substrate and tiny dust particles from the sand.

Last picture of the time series is an up to date picture of the nearly fully cleared tank with all peanuts visible. There are still two internal filter with fine filter floss that I use to get the water to clear as much as possible.

Finally settled in enough after the move to set up the 180L tank again. Enjoy the time series of the first few days. I‘m quite pleased with the scape so far.
The fish will move back in in a few days and then I have some special inhabitants planned, so stay tuned!

It was originally sold in a group together with Crossocheilus siamensis, which were the ones we intended to buy, since my girlfriend loved them.
I have to say, I grew to like the unexpected Cambodian logsuckers quite a bit.

Small update on the fish, since they are posing quite well in the temporary tank. The first one was sold to me as a Siamese algae eater but I can‘t find what species this is. And then I managed to get a good picture of one of my last two emperor tetras :)

The temporary holding tank that all my fish got moved to directly after the move. It‘s quite empty save for one piece of dragon stone with Anubias and Java fern growing on it as well as a few pieces of wood for shelter.

Moving has been nearly completed and I‘ve taken all previous inhabitants of the 180L with me. They took the travel surprisingly well. No losses, all colored up nearly immediately in the temporary holding tank until the big tank is set up again.
