Also, people sleep on how effective writing is at helping one recover from trauma. I have unlocked things about myself through writing that I never even touched on in therapy.

Right‽ I remember worrying about the end of the world a lot when I was younger and being reassured by teachers that there was no way we would live to see it. Like, who's laughing now Mr. Palaganes? (The answer is no one 😂😭)

I kind of assume at this point that every year we're going to look back on ourselves saying stuff like "This really is our rock bottom" then laugh and cry hysterically while we pull out the shovels.

Oh, they will definitely hate me, but that is a sacrifice I am willing to make! 😂. I've been able to fill up a notebook since then, so I think Im okay.

I JUST got over a 1.5 year writing slump so I refuse to let myself slip again right now. I just rewrote what I could and plan on going back to refine it during the editing process. That is now future me's problem 😂

Right??? When I was writing that scene I tried to remember all of the complaints I had about Bush as a teen. Ended up feeling like "My sweet summer child... "

Truly, my character's gripes about Bush were huge for the time and kind of trivial by today's standards. Pretty sure Bush at least hasn't appeared on the Epstein list, which is such a low bar that it's doing the limbo with Satan.

My book is set back in 2003 and one of my characters literally talks shit about George Bush. Igaf. 😂

Look, I would apologize for not posting as much to my social media profiles that focus on books lately (which I do love), but I'm genuinely the happiest I've ever been these days (because of life stuff), and am trying to accept that my reading moods very much have peaks and valleys.

Sadly, no 😭. I ended up rewriting it using different phrasing. My heart dropped when I realized though, but that was a WHOLE CHAPTER!

I was ultimately able to re-write it, just not word for word. Definitely left some stuff out and added some stuff in, but it'll be okay haha .

Who has two thumbs and dozed off while editing last night and ended up accidentally deleting a whole chapter of their book that they'll never get back?
