I'm honestly kind of impressed at how wholly and completely vapid the Mario Galaxy movie is. It's a fantastic soundtrack with fun animation and one of the most empty, meaningless stories I've seen from a kids movie in a long time.

My understanding is that it simulates a desktop, which like... it functions to move the story forward, but fully lacks the feeling that you're actually messing with the game's files. Feels completely within the game's fiction.
Been meaning to play Digimon games for ages (as a huge Tamers fan), and the way @redangelx3.bsky.social talks about this one makes me want to give it a go.

Absolutely. My favorite horror trilogy by far, but just flat-out inaccessible to modern gamers. Don't understand why we haven't gotten a remastered trilogy release yet.
Oh for sure! It'd absolutely be in a top 20 for games I think are the best of all time from a more objective perspective, maybe even top 10, but my personal favorites lean much more toward games that engage me emotionally.
Portal is that for me. Like, it's perfect. I couldn't improve it if you gave me an infinite budget. And I do love it, but it's not like a top 10, or probably even top 20 for me. But it is flawless.
I'm not the kind of person who hates everything Final Fantasy has put out since X or anything, but I do hope the success of games like Metaphor: ReFantazio and Clair Obscur encourages the series to try turn-based combat again. I do kinda miss it.

YEAH. It's so much!! Too long, too drawn-out, completely out of touch with anything that's happening or what it means, just baffling. I didn't think I'd hate it THIS much.
I knew I might not like what they do with this, since the only thing I disliked about Remake was the meta Whispers stuff. But I wasn't prepared for how bad even the basic handling of it all would be. This is souring me on the entire game in retrospect.
I'm still in the process of the final fight of FFVII Rebirth (finally), but
I fucking hate this. I'm flabbergasted just how wildly they've missed the mark here. I expected them to pull some nonsense, but I didn't expect them to dramatically botch the most important moment of the whole damn story.

I'm telling you all to go see The Legend of Ochi. It was delightful. Felt out of time, like an old VHS I'd have found lying around. Really magical experience, I loved it.

I didn't think I'd be the type to like Blue Prince, but damn if I'm not 20 hours and 60 pages of notes in and having an absolute blast.
I thought the note-taking would be tedious & obtuse, but the feeling of finally realizing the key to a bunch of random things you've been noting is second to none.
