I guess I'm just tired of having this BlueSky tab that I never touch open in my browser. It's just never the place where I find anything new or a place where I connect with friends since I just chat directly with friends on Discord. Speaking of which, I guess I have no plans of leaving as of yet.

Mostly due to half the things I follow never made the move to BlueSky; mainly due to them being Japanese, and they had far less incentive to leave Twitter/X and Elon hurting his brand largely from American views. Even now, Japanese companies solely gauge their user interactions from X only.

Maybe I'm just fatigued by what social media has become over the years. Connecting with my peers and following my interests in a more casual format used to be simple, but it just doesn't feel that way anymore. I'm on the verge of giving up this style of social media completely.

With Discord's recent announcement, everyone is talking about jumping ship to a different communication service, but no one really knows what service everyone is going to go to. I'm curious to see who have already decided on what service to go to. So far, I just plan to stick with my communities.

Been playing a lot of Guild Wars Reforged lately, and I miss the wallet system in GW2. I've got so many currency items taking up space in my inventory... Imperial Commendations? Trade Contracts? Zaishen coins? Festival currencies? I should just spend them, but gotta earn more for the good stuff.

Crazy that the DMV still needs a physical copy of specifically your bank statement; can't be any letter from them, even if it's the mail where they sent you your credit card. If you have online banking, that's about the only mail most people get from the bank. Had to e-mail them a PDF to print.

I try to stay professional at work, but I want to know if wasting time is a legitimate haggling strategy. Why, after explaining our reasoning for a reduced counter offer do people bother countering our counter offer with a lower price with no message? At least make an attempt to reason your haggles.

Alright, throttling is one thing, but Optimum Online just straight up throttled us all the way tonight. The internet is dead. Nothing will connect. At the same time nearly every night when they throttle us. "No outages reported." What a load of bullshit.

Great, Dunkin Donuts' Rewards require a bit more points than before for the same rewards, and the points also expire now after a year. Even aside from being able to afford earning rewards, I just don't have enough opportunities to go for all these places with rewards programs.

On a related note, for the several drivers I've seen drive slowly on the passing lane with no cars in front, often side-by-side with another car in the middle lane for miles with traffic behind you, then eventually moving over to the middle lane to GO FASTER THAN IN THE PASSING LANE ...

... Why?

I'm sure I've complained about this on my Twitter years ago, but I'll say it again.

People on the highway that camp the passing lane at or below the speed limit need to leave the lane. The passing lane is for passing other cars. If you're not doing that, don't use the passing lane.

AI is a powerful tool, and will help channels reach broader audiences by breaking the language barrier. But by forcing it on to people by default, especially in YouTube's current AI quality, it sours the viewing experience. Set the default to off, and let users turn it on for a better experience.

And it's not like YouTube assumes I prefer one language. My Mark Rober videos get translated to awkward Japanese, and my Japanese WasyaganaTV videos get translated to English. YouTube knows I understand both languages. They're shoving AI translations in my face for the sake of showing new features.

I like the YouTubers' personality and charm in their videos. But when their voices get replaced with mediocre AI voice overs, not to mention how unnatural their translations can be, it's a much shittier experience. It's nice to have WHEN YOU NEED IT, so let the user toggle it on with a button.

I'm annoyed with YouTube as a viewer lately. Why is AI translated video titles and voice dubs the DEFAULT? As a bilingual person, naturally, I watch content in both languages which YouTube knows. So why must they give me my subscribed content AI translated at first instead of the original?

I did the meme Achievement Points in Guild Wars 2.

Now I'm finding myself focusing more on Guild Wars 1 to review the story and lore, as well as working towards Hall of Monuments points. Unlocked so many skills for classes I hadn't played much of. Got most of what I need for Mesmerway Hero party.

I also finally got around to playing #Balatro. It's fun. So far, I'm finding myself winning with builds focused on Straights, especially when I find the Jokers that lets you have 1 gap, and a Joker that lets you get Straight and Flush with only 4 cards. Gonna experiment with manipulating my deck.

Also on Guild Wars 1, I'm up to Level 19 on my Monk in Pre-Searing now. Only a few more days of Vanguard Quests til I hit Legendary Defender of Ascalon and leave Pre-Searing. ... I'm contemplating buying another character slot for a dedicated Pre-Searing character. Still need to collect skills.
