Diving headfirst back into conceptual portrait photography. It’s been too long since I’ve created the characters hiding in the labyrinth of my mind. Time to pull them out one by one.

I want an army of them.

Sitting in a dentist office always feels like when I used to have sleep paralysis. Anxiety, panic, and then acceptance before waking up gasping for breath. I leave feeling like I barely made it out alive.

At least it wasn’t too bad despite being half a decade since my last visit.

This was my first real attempt at stop motion earlier this year. It’s frustrating and time consuming but I feel the time invested is worth it. I fell off it while trying to find ways to do complicated movements with posing and planning but I need to give it another go.

It’s beautiful.

I’m starting to get my photo studio setup again for small scale photography and stop motion. As much as I enjoy subjecting calico critters and legos to the horrors of other worlds, I also want to make custom figures for my storytelling. New ambitions!

I’m reading the fantastic “It Devours” set in the weird town of Night Vale. It’s motivating me to get back into figuring out my toy photography I was trying to tie into its own Lovecraftian universe. Time to give it another go. #booktok

Here’s the final segment of this three part series. Since my daughter sent Chucky away on a balloon somewhere, I ended up using the extra head in a well. Other image is the setup. I use flash mixed with constant lighting. #toyphotography

Second in this series. I shot this and the other back to back. One more to shoot which has been drastically altered because my daughter decided using Chucky to harass her calico critters and ultimately float away on a balloon led to her not remembering his location. #toyphotography

Back to the weird world of toy photography. I will be doing more behind the scenes and thought process on creating my ideas. In a world where ai art grows out of control, I want to continue helping grow a community of organic art in all forms.
