And in order to not feel guilty about how evil, selfish, and cruel they are, these same people will invent lies to cover it up. They will project their flaws upon all of humanity in an effort to quell the voice inside them saying that they should feel shame for their actions.

Humans as a whole are not evil, selfish, greedy, or cruel. It's just that people who are evil, selfish, greedy, or cruel tend to covet power and pursue it. Then, once they have that power, they use it to inflict harm because they think everyone is just like them.

It often appears to be a theme with these things that an individual or group will attempt to justify their misdeeds as a result of 'human nature', when in all actuality humans are generally kind, empathetic, and social creatures. Evil people don't like to feel alone either, and that remains true.

- "Screaming/ Hysterics help deal with physical or emotional pain": Shows only short term benefit, but actually does more harm than good in the long term.

- "People become panicked and selfish during emergencies.": In fact, people are often shown to be the opposite. Instead showing increased cooperativeness and empathy for others experiencing crises alongside them.

- "Opposites Attract": The evidence overwhelmingly shows that people are more likely to be attracted to people with similar personalities and values
- "Smiling makes you happier": It doesn't. They have not been able to replicate the results of this experiment.

- "Harsher laws around theft prevent theft.": They have almost no real effect in the short term, and often create more extreme crimes in the long term as lives are upended by a harsher sentence. Theft goes down when people's general needs (food, water, shelter, etc) are taken care of.

- "Shame prevents people from lying": In fact, it is the opposite. When someone is ashamed of their actions, they are more likely to lie. Not for any malicious reason or intent to deceive, but in order to alleviate feelings of shame or guilt. It's a panic response for many people.

- "Humans are naturally greedy": In fact, human beings are only greedy when resources are made scarce and forced to compete. When the environment incentivizes sharing and cooperation humans are quite social and generous compared to other animals. Competition and scarcity causes greed.

- Stockholm Syndrome: Invented to explain why hostages would side with bank robbers during a shoot-out (because the cops decided to open fire)
- Stanford Prison Experiment: Meant to show that guards and prisoners assume their roles naturally... when the people in the experiment were actively RPing.

Things about human psychology which were taught as facts, but turned out to be lies:
- The bystander effect: A lie invented to cover for the fact that it wasn't the 38 residents, but the POLICE who stood by and watched someone die

They don't like your second amendment rights. They just liked the chaos is caused. Now that it's inconvenient for them, they don't want you to have them anymore.

I just had an epiphany. Alcohol wasn't just super useful in ancient societies because it was safe drinking water, fun to get drunk, etc. It was also a calorie dense drink which helped you store fat because your body burns alcohol first. Thereby allowing better fat storage for times of famine.

American cheese is such a funny topic because everyone screeches "It's not real cheese!" as if it means it's made from plastic or something, when in reality it's made with a blend of cheese and has more milk and added to it.

Ah, it seems there was a rounding error in my word tracker file. After correcting, it was 500k. Yours was really great too, though! 480k is nothing to scoff at, you should be proud.

Last year was good though. I:
- Got a gf
- wrote 479k words
- Wrote for 295 days straight (still going)
- Made a bunch of new friends
- Worked at soup kitchens
- Read 5 books (That's a lot for me)

Not a Fortune teller, unfortunately:
- 50k in November
- Finished one Manuscript by 2026. Redoing the other two
- Didn't even post anything to RR
- 'Learned' would be a strong word.
- Accomplished this part (Exciting)

It's kinda wild to think about the fact that it's normal for human beings to poison themselves as a social ritual.

Even though alcohol no longer serves a sanitary purpose in our society, we still drink it.

The closer this man gets to making a youtube video, the more fucked our economy is.

And instead of going on these long pointless campaigns of 'AI bad', it's far more productive to recognize the reality of the situation and try to find solutions. We can't close pandora's box, but we can still find a future far brighter than the present.

AI doesn't benefit anyone aside from the top 1%. If AI actually benefitted the majority of people, I don't think anyone would really have an issue with it. The fact is that we all recognize it's a poisonous technology to our society in its current state. We need to regulate it before it's too late.
