It's irrelevant unless the wealth is shared. Inequality continues to rise.

Almost everything we argue about is a substitute for the thing we should be arguing about: the immense wealth & power of an oligarchic class, which captures governments, ruins lives and wrecks the living planet.
This class redirects our rage at scapegoats. To resist its lies is to resist its power.

🚨 Since February last year most parties have been stagnant or in decline… but not the Greens!

While the Stormont shambles stumbles on, Northern Ireland is waking up. The old parties are falling as we’re rising.

This is what hope looks like. 💚

This is nuts. I’ve been listening to a small handful of recordings of him for 25 year. Hearing him with this clarity feels odd. Like I don’t believe it’s real

Ep 13 - The Iniskea Prospect Should Ireland leave all its oil and gas reserves in the ground or drill to achieve energy independence?

The suggestion that Ireland should reverse the ban on drilling for oil and gas has popped up again.
I made a programme looking at this from every imaginable angle.

Listen: 👉 www.rte.ie/radio/radio1...

Spoiler alert: The arguments for drilling don’t add up.

Happy Tax Day, New York. We’re taxing the rich.

Claims and ideas which happen to favour the ruling class don't dominate public life by accident. They're paid for by oligarchs and corporations then promoted by media outlets other oligarchs and corporations own. Once they've been drummed into our ears enough, they're internalised as "common sense".

I know this type. I've seen them often enough. They revel in being obnoxious: but not towards the rich and powerful, to whom they fawn. Always towards the weaker and the poorer: towards people who don't have their privileges, such as access to private medical care. They think it's funny and daring.

James Bembridge on X:
Hate is too weak a word for what I feel towards the NHS. I'd tear it down and salt the earth upon which it stood.

Lovely people, these Reform UK candidates for the upcoming election, and great to know they're on our side.

When you aggregate the comments of various Reform UK candidates, you find they:
Hate the NHS
Hate immigrants
Hate Black people
Hate Brown people
Hate Muslims
Hate Jews
Hate women
Hate students
Hate LGTBQ people
Hate the unemployed
Hate disabled people
Hate everyone ...
But claim to love the country.

🇮🇱❗️🇺🇦 Israel has accepted a Russian ship with stolen Ukrainian grain from the temporarily occupied territories.

This was reported by Kateryna Yaresko, a journalist for the SeaKrime project of the Myrotvorets Center.

In the 1930s, Oswald Mosley claimed to be a patriot, while his British Union of Fascists was secretly funded by the Italian government. We are just beginning to grasp how much of the far right in the UK today has been funded by Viktor Orbán and Russian oil money.
Their "patriotism" is always a con.

Why is the convicted felon and rapist president cosplaying as Jesus resurrecting Jeffrey Epstein?

I knew the actor, Tom Fleming. A friend of my uncle, a Presbyterian minister, he spoke about the responsibility of depicting the Christ; the first time it was done on UK TV.

After going dark, Belfast Pint Tracker is back but with reviews, maps and even beer gardens where the sun might shine One thing is unchanged - pint in Belfast still more expensive than Dublin

www.irishnews.com/news/norther...
Most expensive average pint in Ireland and UK is Belfast. Why? Because of the archaic licensing laws Stormont refuses to change.

i do think the root cause of almost all problems today is the self/other split. The fundamentally erroneous viewpoint that we are separate from our environment.

the second biggest problem is everyone is looking at their phones all the time.

Richard Tice tax row is 'minor administrative error', party claims A property company owned by the Reform UK deputy leader failed to pay £91,000 in tax on dividends, according to the Sunday Times.

Odd how the minor administrative errors always seem to produce the same results.

What Israel is doing to Lebanon is obscene, carpet bombing civilians, massacring people in their hundreds, total disregard for human life. Truly plumbing the depths of evil. The single greatest source of violence and instability in the region and it's not even close.

Will the UK’s food supply really collapse by 2030? Experts believe that cyberattacks on supermarkets or physical attacks on distribution centres or ports could lead to serious shortages

I mean I'm sure you know this but as crossover hatchback small car is not what people mean when they rail against SUVs. If what you are defending is the puma then grand; we all agree. More cars puma sized.

The most popular car is indeed the Ford Puma but it's not an SUV. Unless we are using the term to mean "a car".

The suspension and the seats are what matters there not the size of the vehicle. The Hyundai inster for example is tiny but has a high seat position and good suspension. The Citroen E-C3 is supposed to have amazing suspension. Driving a massive ranger rover isn't for anyone's back.
