We went to Birmingham for a few hours (sadly on a tight timeframe) but still made time to see a beautiful @annatomix.bsky.social mural!
Found @annatomix.bsky.social's rats in Digbeth π
(and there's a fox there too I suppose ππ¦)
Yay! Hope you didn't have too much trouble finding them π
You are very welcome. Hope you get some good weather! π€
A new mural for the underpass that leads to The Mailbox in Birmingham, designed specifically to enhance the existing light installation "The Portal", which was created by James Glancy Design for The Commonwealth Games in 2022.
Commissioned by Central BID Birmingham
Thank you βΊοΈπ
Sort of. It's on the canal at the back of Centrala. I've circled the Custard Factory and Centrala in red, and the two pink crosses show where you can access the canal to see it. Hope that helps!
Thanks for sharing! Someone just sent this to me on Insta too βΊοΈπ
Look Ma, I'm in The Guardian again
Thanks for visiting John π

I will put this design on the list for the next round, and I always go with quality weatherproof vinyl. Can't be distributing sub-par stickers! :)
Another new gouache fox, on some handmade paper from Bhutan.

They look fabulous in it! Thank you for giving them a home ππ
The print edition is limited to 69 copies, one for every year of Bowie's life.
If you'd like to grab one, the link is in my bio with full details, and there are a range of sizes available.
All orders will be printed and shipped out in March x
It all started with a sketch on the day I heard of Bowie's passing. Drawn while watching one of my favourite films - The Man Who Fell To Earth -, I included a quote from the script...
"Well, I'm not a scientist, but I know all things begin and end in eternity" β¨οΈ
The painting is varnished and looking for a new home, and I'm making prints, which are currently on pre-order until the end of February through my store. About half are sold, and I'm happy to say a good chunk of the proceeds from the prints and original painting will be going to charity.
When it eventually degraded so much that I had to remove it, I started making a canvas version of the same image.
It wasn't a top priority among other projects, so I worked on it - on and off - for years, only adding the final touches at the end of 2025. But it's done now π₯Ή 10 yrs on...
A thread - Back in 2016, I made a memorial portrait of David Bowie, which lived on Dudley St in Birmingham City centre for quite a few years and became a bit of a landmark. An honour for me as portraits aren't really my thing, but I'd been a lifelong fan and felt compelled to make it...
Ahh, the ever spiralling chore of trying to make Art, earn a living, and keep on top of social media. Has anyone found a good balance yet?
Here's some fresh content for the algorithm - An itch to scratch - just sold β¨οΈ
