Thank you @taylordahlin.com and @wedge.live for a delightful time today!
I appreciate the delegates at the @mplsdfl.org convention taking this important stand today! As a city, we are better when democracy is allowed to express itself in full. Stripping away every vestige of authority from city council (or park board) weakens us as a community. Our voices matter.

Christin cares about other people on a level that is so rare in our society. She knows the importance of trust & community & giving our best to our neighbors even when we don’t always receive their best in return. And she works harder than almost anyone I’ve ever known to make people’s lives better.
Today was my first @mplsdfl.org convention since I received the endorsement of District 4 delegates, and it was a great experience. I could say so much, but the one thing I want to say more than anything is
CONGRATULATIONS @christin-with-mpls.bsky.social!

The endorsement of @christin-with-mpls.bsky.social by the Minneapolis DFL is a huge win for public schools, students, educators, and labor. Congratulations!
I’m excited to knock these doors for a candidate centered in community. Let’s do this.
Come join us tonight!

Donations to help our neighbors are slowing down, but the need is still there! If you can pitch in some funds, that would be greatly appreciated!
These friends also need volunteer help on Saturday, 4/11 at 12pm to pack groceries to deliver. If you can help, please DM for details!
Earth Day is coming up on April 18! I’ll have more info about how to connect with your neighbors to help take care of your green space in my next newsletter- sign up here:

The DFL could not function without the labor of unpaid volunteers. I used to work for the DFL and paid organizers do not plan conventions or caucuses. Unpaid volunteers do. They put in hours of time on top of their other commitments. Never shit on your volunteers. Be grateful they show up.
im sick & tired of the MN DFL using Minneapolis DFL publicly, & shitting on us privately.
ur record 2026 turnout ✅ Minneapolis DFL
ur ability to fundraise off our city’s emotional, physical & mutual aid UNPAID labor ✅ Minneapolis DFL
organizing & building up our neighbors ✅ Minneapolis DFL
At yesterday’s Minneapolis City Council meeting, we were unable to overturn Mayor Frey’s veto on our policy meant to give renters more time to pay rent. Our neighbors are still feeling the impact of the federal invasion of our city and state. 1/
It’s important to consider that these bollards are within blocks of our neighborhood elementary school.
And these are across the street from that elementary school.

it’s honestly surprising that women don’t crash out all the time. they have every reason to but yet continue to lead, empower, have grace, and just do it all.
happy women’s history month, women fucking rock.
No kings.
We don’t do kings in America. The power will always be to the people.
Minnesota showed up today!
There are no kings in America.
Albert, a MACC rescue, is very upset to hear this.

I mean, it ends with the world being destroyed and it mentions heat and fire and a bunch of other natural disasters, so I don't know that we can say for sure Revelations ISN'T about climate change.
Finally we have Climate. Addressing climate change has to be a core part of everything we do. As an urban park system, we need to become a climate leader and a bulwark against what’s coming. Reducing vehicle miles traveled, promoting energy efficiency, increasing carbon capture & more are vital.
We had a good MPRB Committee of the Whole meeting tonight to continue learning about the org’s budget history, as well as outlining our priorities for the next 4 years.
Broadly stated, those priorities are:
Youth, Natural Areas, Revenue, and Finance.
We’re working on specifics in coming months.
