“I used AI to combine the data from two excel lists and then send emails to people who were on one list but not another. Saved me so much time.”
My brother in academia, you just fucking discovered mail merge. Welcome to early nineties computing.

Legend would be fun to work with too.
It would be fun to take a crack at several things:
-Dark (let's follow any number of threads)
-The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari
-Unforgiven
-Time Bandits
VERY COOL PERSON: It's four-twenty, you know what that means?

Flashback to a variant cover that I did for @jefflemire171.bsky.social and @tozo.today's "Skulldigger & Skeleton Boy." Digital colors by the one and only Lee Loughridge!
I will be on @maddow.bsky.social’s show tonight to talk about InfoWars. Unlike the site’s current proprietor, I am not presently shirtless.
Before I write some things tonight and jot down my first poetry rejection in my tracking file, I'm going to have to back up the laptop. A Windows update nearly killed it over the weekend.

One of the editors let go today from Mad Cave isn't on here -- Gabrielle Milano. I got to work with her briefly on THE OCTOBER GIRL and if YOU ever get a chance to work with her, I highly recommend that you do. Her editorial career is just getting started, but she already has the goods.

With the help of the Sandy Hook families, The Onion has reached a long-awaited deal to take over InfoWars.
We've enlisted the help of @timheidecker.bsky.social, who will be InfoWars' Creative Director.
Please stand by for more.
A dreamy, painterly portrait of an androgynous figure surrounded by pale masks nestled among purple leaves. The figure, softly lit in cool blue and violet tones, holds one smooth, expressionless mask close to his face, partially obscuring his features. Hi eyes are downcast, giving an introspective mood. Flowing fabric drapes loosely from his shoulders, revealing the collarbone and chest. The surrounding masks vary slightly in angle and lighting, creating a sense of multiplicity and hidden identities. The overall palette is dominated by soft purples, blues, and muted pinks, with a calm, melancholic atmosphere.
Another painting I did a while back, this one is about the multiple masks we wear for different people and situations and how it's hard to know your true self - at least it is for me sometimes
A green colored background. At the bottom, right are two book covers, one is orange and says the framed women of Ardmore house. The other is blue and says the dead come to stay. On the left-hand side are what appeared to be Russian nesting dolls in black profile. Text: DID YOU KNOW? April is Autism Acceptance Month! Why not take the opportunity to read more books with autistic representation? Meet Jo Jones, an autistic amateur sleuth, & the main character in Brandy Schillace's Netherleigh series, who solves mysteries in a charming place in North Yorkshire.
It’s #AutismAwareness month (where we try to lift the representation of #autistism) I am autistic and have written both my mystery novels to feature ND characters—especially our protagonist, Jo Jones:
I assume, unlike Godzilla, the army will be completely effective against the Predator. Checking notes...
The ties between Harvard and the Caribbean are myriad….university presidents, governing officials, donors and staff grew their wealth off of enslaved labor and the transatlantic slave trade…. [Yet] Researchers that have attempted to make the connection say their efforts have been stymied.
Yellowish rocks comprise most of this outcrop scene. Darker, brown rocks cap the outcrop. Trees and vegetation are widespread. There is a person for scale at centre left.
See those yellowish rocks?
They're about 1.4 billion years old.
The rocks on top are around 500 million years old.
This is part of the Great Unconformity, where almost a billion years of Earth's history is just... missing.
Black-and-white photograph of a wide Toronto street in 1904, lined with heavily damaged buildings on both sides. Brick facades are partially collapsed, with exposed interiors, broken walls, and empty window openings. Large piles of rubble and debris fill the sidewalks and spill into the roadway. In the distance, several small figures stand or walk along the street. A clock tower and other taller structures rise faintly through the haze in the background. The foreground shows uneven ground covered with dust and scattered debris.
On April 19, 1904, a night watchman discovered a fire coming from Toronto's E&S Currie Neck Wear Factory while out on a night patrol.
Fueled by high winds, the fire destroyed over 100 buildings by the time it was out.
This is the story of The Great Toronto Fire.

My first poetry submission didn't work out, sadly. But to be honest, that rejection is excellent, far better than the radio silence that was my whole art career.

“crap” became “stuff,” as the Times is a family paper.
“butt” will become “ass,” if we’re lucky!
I had to make some changes to my AI piece before the Times would print it (“we’re a family paper”). A German newspaper wants to rerun it, so I’d like to translate it back before they translate it into German:
