Make sure to have candles/flashlights. If power goes, keep fridge & freezer closed. A small bowl of solid ice with a coin on top in the freezer can track whether it stayed safely frozen during an outage. Keep phone charged, charge a power bank if you have one.

The upside I guess is that this will make a really good office story on Monday.

It's wild how my body shuts down while I'm getting work done. I'm in the home stretch on some edits and I went into full blown ANAPHYLACTIC SHOCK today, had a hypotensive crisis from in and spent all afternoon and evening in the ER.

My brain is oatmeal at this point, just absolutely nothing coherent happening up there since Friday when final portfolios were due

What is it about end of semester grading in particular that leaves me with just the absolute worst burnout. It is the same amount of papers all semester but for some reason final grades are so much more work
