Eligible student teachers who commit to teaching in Pennsylvania for at least three years can apply for funding on a first-come, first-served basis — and cooperating teachers who mentor them can receive up to $2,500 as well.
Student teaching is a full-time commitment, and too often it comes without pay. This program helps ease that burden while strengthening our educator workforce by supporting those who are stepping up to lead the next generation.
Starting today, future educators across Pennsylvania can apply for the 2026–27 PA Student Teacher Support Program — including a $10,000 stipend to help support their student teaching experience.
It’s far past time for the legislature to step up and invest in Penn State and our public institutions. Pennsylvania’s future depends on it.
In fact, accounting for inflation, it has actually gone down. That stagnation puts a world-class education further out of reach for too many Pennsylvania families and makes it harder to attract and retain the talent our commonwealth needs.
what Penn State — our commonwealth's land grant institution — means to them and to our state. Here’s what stood out: every $1 invested in Penn State generates an estimated $25 in economic activity—more than $16 billion each year! And yet, state funding for Penn State hasn’t increased in 25 years.

This funding will provide free summer camps and afterschool programs focused on emotional wellness, resilience, and positive peer connection—serving nearly 500 young people yearly

After yesterday's office hours in Snow Shoe, our team participated in a clean-up of the area organized by Snow Shoe Township. We filled three bags of roadside and streamway trash to help protect the beauty of the Mountaintop.
