UPDATE: got a second hand DS and Viva Piñata cartridge and my younger son (5 yr) has been playing and absolutely loving it 🥰 he won’t stop asking about what he needs to get various piñatas to become resident in his garden.

John is my new favourite human. He’s written positive reviews of both Substage and Hour by Hour now 🤩

Oh hey look, a new game by the people who made one of the best games of 2024 and one of the most thought-provoking, affecting game narratives ever (I'm talking about 1000xRESIST and more of you need to play it)

Escape Velocity was an incredible game - Mac only, a more accessible 2D version of the Elite formula, and was fully "open world", before it was known as that. Happy memories ❤️

Arguably it could be a non-live version with a button to scroll through your day, but it feels like a lot of compromises for the effort it would take to implement robustly. Never say never though!

Thank you!! I’d love to add widgets but given the realtime nature of the app, it’s a little tricky since widgets don’t get the chance to update very frequently (even Live Activities was hard to get right)

That's a delightful way to put it!

Anyone know what the dots are within the shadow on the moon? Reflections of lights within the capsule? Interior reflections within the lens?

Photo of my Switch showing TR-49, A Highland Song, Overboard, Heaven’s Vault and 80 Days on dashboard

Excerpt from a piece about TR-49 from Polygon: “If you love dissecting game design, anything with Inkle's name on it should be appointment playing. The studio has been one of gaming's most consistent fountains of creativity over the past decade, and it shows no sign of stopping. Heaven's Vault turned linguistics into sharp puzzling. Overboard and Expelled both found a way to apply a roguelike's rules to a narrative adventure format. A Highland Song adapted the fundamentals of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild into a 2D adventure through the Scottish Highlands.
All of those games are must-play genre reimaginings that put narrative meaning to form. TR-49 continues that trend by asking what kinds of stories suit a deduction game that's all about hiding secrets from players.

Hullo, new arrival on Switch!

So proud of each and every one of these games. @polygon.com seems to think we’re doing pretty well too.

It was a very intense 24 hours fixing some last minute issues but I’ve been playing it all afternoon and the Switch version is now feeling GREAT (patch hopefully will be approved very soon!)

Super excited to have it out on Switch!

Pssst don’t tell the TikTok viewers that the ADA was for a game and was 100% a team effort so obviously leaves me entirely unqualified to use it to promote a random productivity app

It’s traditional for us to announce our projects on April Fools day, so we’d like to announce that our next game is about a pirate solving cold cases in order to win entrance into Heaven
