The Stand By Mode didn't get a Liquid Glass™️ coat in this first beta 🥲

When you see this new UI, and how the trend will follow it, you will automatically remember that it's an Apple product.

The main point that I can see now, after a week of using it, is that Apple (again) achieved something unique, which is highly aligned with how the company works, and how they want to have "exclusive" products.

Some UI elements look better than others, and in general, they are fine, and again, there is still a beta cycle to polish some more details and animations.

The TabBar animation is one that I definitely don't like, it's "heavy" and it steals too much attention IMHO

Some animations are pretty interesting and definitely welcome, like the one in the menus

I still don't like 100% the new radius and spacing in the lists, but that's something I don't think will change until the final release in September, but you will get used.

This reflection in the "Customize" button looks incredible, that's astonishing, the work to make this work correctly with the colors and light source is an incredible implementation.

Surely, there are some readability issues in some cases, but they can be easily fixed in future betas.
But seeing the big picture, the glass effect animation is a piece of art. The reflection, the distortion, it's a whole new level.

I needed about a week to digest the liquid glass that Apple presented at the WWDC25.
After one week of use, I can say that I'm used to the new design. 🧵

I’m struggling with the layout of my side projects. I love a clean and pixel-perfect design, but I’ve spent too much time tweaking colors, fonts, positions, borders and design changes.

Nice tip! I just got one of those portable monitors from Arzopa and it's surprisingly good. I'll test it better in a few weeks...

After working 10+ days using only my MacBook, I'm back home and it's great to use an external monitor again.

I love how simple it is to use ISGraphicIconConfiguration in a plist file to quickly create temporary icons for my apps 😁

Fun fact: Apple uses this to generate some of the icons in the macOS Settings screen. You can even inspect the appex and check the plist.
