Graphical text under two photos of Kristi Noem: If we're being honest, Kristi Noem rigging the property appraiser's exam while governor so her daughter could get her license, killing a puppy, and giving her married boyfriend a powerful job in government while cheating on her cross-dressing husband is not that unusual on the spectrum of Republican politician behavior.
Just saying.

Screenshot of a Facebook (?) comment by user roadhouseendgame:
i was talking to my mom about cardassians and said something along the lines of 'what must it be like to be a cardassian civilian. like abstractly knowing the rest of the galaxy thinks of your species as 'the evil ones' and kinda sorta knowing your government runs labor camps and torture prisons and is a military empire, and it's a huge deal for everyone else in the galaxy, but you just like run a restaurant so it's not a big part of your daily life, so you just like, go about your day and make soup and don't think about it' and then halfway through my sentence i actually heard myself and then had to go sit down for like ten minutes. like sat down in a chair and stared at the floor for ten minutes.
For my Star Trek peeps.

Hell of a legacy you’re building there, dummy. It doesn’t matter how many times you plaster your name on buildings and ballrooms in tacky gold letters. Your grave will be one big beautiful public urinal.

The President has launched our nation and our great military into a war of choice, risking American lives and resources, ignoring American law, and endangering our allies and partners. It does nothing to help with the urgent problems here at home that Americans face every day.

They went to war with Iran (which nobody in America was asking for) so they could conjure an excuse to allow ICE to keep murdering Americans and teargassing schools here at home with impunity (which nobody in America was asking for).

FIFA has officially issued President Trump a yellow card. If he assassinates another world leader, it’ll become an automatic red card and he won’t be eligible for another FIFA Peace Prize for 4 years.

‘ICE conveyor belt’ illegally detaining, moving Minnesota children to Texas faster than courts can respond
ICE is pulling Minnesota immigrant families with legal status out of their driveways, homes and school commutes and send
ICE is running a “conveyor belt” of illegally detained Minnesota families.
Agents are arresting entire families with legal status and immediately shipping them off to Texas to deny them legal representation and avoid the federal courts in Minnesota.
The cruelty is endless.

AOC on ICE: It’s our task to figure out how to claw back what has essentially supercharged this agency into becoming a relentless domestic paramilitary that is also a blank check to Palantir to create facial-recognition scans on U.S. citizens.

Abolish ICE.
There’s no reforming it.
There’s no compromise.
There’s only one way to rein in ICE’s terror campaign. Abolish it.

Alex Pretti "used to tell people off when they made sexist comments to female physicians. He bought me coffee when I had a really bad day as an intern...I laughed alongside him daily. He made a point to teach medical residents without judgement, but with a smile on his face and a joke."

You’ve probably heard someone talk passionately about a ”15-minute city” before. At its core, it's the idea that cities can be designed so that everything you need is no more than a 15-minute walk, bike ride or public transport trip away.

Just to echo what @matthewstiegler.bsky.social has said below in a different key: there is a way in which what the Court has just done (and what it did with the stay in the SB8 case a few years ago) is lawless in a lawyerly sense. The law *now* is, apparently what the Court *will* do. (1/3)

Okay folks. Maybe this is a generational thing…
But when did the past tense of costs go from "cost" to "costed"? I've heard at least a dozen younger influencers use "costed" this week, on their reels.
Which do you use? Cost? Or costed?

Charlie deserves: To be thoroughly reviled for his works and words; his legacy dismantled.
Charlie’s family and friends deserve: A privately funded funeral, far from the spotlight, where they can begin the hard work of reordering their lives in the wake of Kirk’s assassination.

This is the imagery we need to see. We need pictures of the regime teargassing veterans holding the American flag.

We use all our senses to keep ourselves safe. And the sounds that EVs make are a fraction of what cars with internal combustion engines make. This isn't about making them louder.

Why You Can Hear EVs Coming But Can't Find Them Fast Enough
New 2025 tests show EV acoustic warnings are heard but not placed in crowds. Here’s why AVAS confuses—and how to fix it for pedestrian safety
Electric motors are near silent, which EV makers ID’d as a threat to pedestrians. So each created a soundtrack of sorts for their brand of EV’s, ensuring they’d be heard. But something was off…

My mother holds me in her arms in this photo taken on my first birthday.
Happy birthday, mum. I admit a part of me is grateful that you're no longer around to see the world burning down around us. But you were no stranger to trauma; your strength inspires me still.

Urban Mobility Assessment Survey
So the folks over at UDOT want us to take their urban mobility survey (I did; you should, too). And it's a total hack job.
SLC Transportation: Y'all need to do a proper survey to counter the "data" this survey is going to generate.
