Over the weekend the work pace I’ve maintained for the last month smacked me in the head and said “AND STAY DOWN” so that’s what I’m doing today. Turns out one night of good sleep over the weekend wasn’t enough. I still have a long way to go re: balancing my life and setting boundaries.
A fonds, obvs. 😁

Seriously. We have more than enough WWII fiction. Give us Rome vs Persia!!
Really feeling “Seat By Your Side” by Rose Betts.
Today I learned that American West author Will James' birth name was Joseph Ernest Nephtali Dufault. That's a mouthful.

I know being tired makes brainweasels worse. It’s still frustrating when the sadness turns into physical pain. My hands ache when I’m really low, especially the knuckle joints.
Change isn’t always bad
They are a higher harm risk than clean, dry hands. With gloves on you can’t feel what you’re doing as well and are more likely to tear or damage pages trying to turn them, for instance.
We don’t wear gloves to handle old books anymore.
very glad as a verge subscriber and see this argument made with clarity and hard data!
V squeaky. Needs oiling.
Me too.
Soooo police just came and cleared the library. We all got kicked out. There’s something happening at the student union next door. Thankfully it’s spring break so campus is pretty empty but there are nearly a dozen police vehicles outside the union.
